Contested deletion
editThis article should not be speedy deleted as a foreign language article that exists on another Wikimedia project, because it is an English translation that has been incorrectly tagged. --Mauls (talk) 21:05, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
- To add, this is blatantly not foreign language. It is an English translation of a notable subject, the French computer security agency. Mauls (talk) 21:58, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Started Activities section and moved Macron email leaks there
editHello, I just moved information pertaining to the Macron email leaks from the lead to a newly created Activities section. I did this because the information seems too specific for the lead. Having an Activities section may also facilitate the addition of any other significant investigations by ANSSI.
I also amended parts of the sentences related to the Macron email leaks. I have listed all of them below.
- The sentences previously stated that the presidential election took place in 2016, but it really occurred in 2017. Changing it to 2017 also brings it in line with the date of the quote.
- Since some readers may not be as familiar with Le Monde or En Marche ! , I added "newspaper" and "political party", respectively, to clarify what those entities are. My second motivation for adding "political party" is to increase transparency on the origin of the statement put out by En Marche ! since that appears to toe the line concerning neutrality, in my humble opinion.
- I streamlined the citation format
- I added a sentence to give a little more info about ANSSI's role following the breach.
Lastly, I left the verb tense for the Macron email leak paragraph as it was originally written, but I think there may be a better way to phrase the first sentence. Unfortunately, the Le Monde article cited requires a subscription, which I don't have, so I haven't been able to check what the article had said. Perhaps if someone has a subscription, they can help clarify what that first sentence means.
