The area may be under Byzantine control during 859-1114. But the year 859 has nothing to do with the Crusades.

Armenian Genocide
editWhat about the role of the town during the Armenian Genocide? According to the Wiki article it was an extermination centre. Surely there must be some information on this?

Kurdish population-mistake
editAdiyaman is not a majority-Kurdish inhabited town as the introduction suggests! Just look at the election results of 2018 as proof: The pro-Kurdish HDP received only 15% while nationalist parties has a significant vote share, not to mention the ruling AKP which has over 50% majority. Is the name Adiyaman came from the ancient Tamil king Adiyaman?
editAdiyaman may be an ancient king or a person that trades on iron weapons. This person or persons may be from Kanjamalai in Southern India. Wondering there are any relationship between Damascus steel and Kanjamalai steel (Wootz steel) and hence the name Adiyaman. 72.53.207.5 (talk) 01:08, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
