AFTER this paragraph: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/3D_printing#Social_change
As 3D printers became more accessible to consumers, online social platforms have developed to support the community.[217] This includes websites that allow users to access information such as how to build a 3D printer, as well as social forums that discuss how to improve 3D print quality and discuss 3D printing news, as well as social media websites that are dedicated to share 3D models.[218][219][220] RepRap is a wiki based website that was created to hold all information on 3d printing, and has developed into a community that aims to bring 3D printing to everyone. Furthermore, there are other sites such as Pinshape, Thingiverse and MyMiniFactory, which were created initially to allow users to post 3D files for anyone to print, allowing for decreased transaction cost of sharing 3D files. These websites have allowed greater social interaction between users, creating communities dedicated to 3D printing.
TO ADD: These communities are unique and have proved to have a positive impact on the industry. No matter if the market goes up or down, communities keep promoting 3D printing by taking part in events, such as charity live streams and fundraising events, or participating in 3D print design competitions and giveaways (1). In the past few years, as of the end of 2023, more than a thousand such community events have been held.

- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. You asked for this exact change to be made in November of last year and it was not done for this same reason; 3dwithus.com is not linked anywhere else on Wikipedia as it appears to be a blog or promotional site and does not meet the standards of the reliable sources guideline. - I spent years putting together these tables and maintaining them regularly, as they serve as a tool for designers and event organizers in the industry. I greatly improved the landing page, and there are no advertisements of any sort. Max Funkner (talk) 12:56, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Do you have any update for me on this? A lot of people participate in such events and, in fact, these are one of the main sources that drive new members to 3D printing. Max Funkner (talk) 13:43, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- There's nothing to update - it is not going to be added. We cannot use your blog as a citation, and we will not add this without a valid citation. MrOllie (talk) 13:48, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

I would like to edit the paragraph of "Benefits of 3D printing" 3D printing#Benefits of 3D printing
I think the paragraph lacks some detailed examples. My possible edits are marked as bold.
Additive manufacturing or 3D printing has rapidly gained importance in the field of engineering due to its many benefits. The vision of 3D printing is design freedom, individualization[1], decentralization[2] and executing processes that were previously impossible through alternative methods.[3] Some of these benefits include enabling faster prototyping, reducing manufacturing costs, increasing product customization, and improving product quality.
Furthermore, the capabilities of 3D printing have extended beyond traditional manufacturing, like lightweight construction[4], or repair and maintenance[5] with applications in prosthetics[6], bioprinting[7], food industry[8], rocket building[9], design and art[10] and renewable energy systems. 3D printing technology can be used to produce battery energy storage systems, which are essential for sustainable energy generation and distribution.

Not done: This does not read to me as following WP:NPOV. PianoDan (talk) 17:55, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Could you please explain why this edit shouldn't be neutral? I don't see this point at all. The list of applications of 3D printing was nearly non-existent, with only those two points mentioned. Those are all from different publications, authored by different individuals, spanning different years and journals. I'm certain this list could even be extended, as 3D printing has numerous applications. It is important to showcase what is currently achievable with 3D printing, especially by incorporating new applications like the food industry or rocket science. Please review your decision. 3DmicroPrintExpert (talk) 07:55, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
