WP:COPYVIO and failed verification
editI understand this version was partly a translation from the es.wikipedia, but please be aware when importing content from es.wiki that you may be bringing over content that fails verification, or uses sources deemed non-reliable on en.wikpedia, or fails verification. Cleaning up a translation can take more time than starting from scratch with good sources.
- https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/venezuelas-capital-caracas-other-regions-face-power-outage-2024-08-30/ does not verify the content about the Metro being shut down – I'm not removing that content, as I know I've seen it elsewhere. Noble Attempt, thank you for the work here! Could you please relocate the source about the Metro being shut down and buses being used?

- I will make sure to fix what you told me. Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it! Noble Attempt (talk) 20:49, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- Also, thank you for fixing things up for me like the sources before I could see this, that is extremely polite and I'm really, sincerely thankful for it. I apologize for any mistakes I made and will make sure I remember your advice for future articles and translations. Noble Attempt (talk) 20:52, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

Please be aware that lapatilla.com is not considered fully reliable on en.wikipedia, so if there are better sources, they should be used instead (and in this case, there is an abundance of better sources including English-language sources). See WP:RSP and WP:VENRS. I've never heard of El Periodiquito; can anyone illuminate?
Please remember to add the trans-title= parameter for Spanish-language sources, and to preference English-language sources when they are available. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:44, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- I found a more comprehensive source for the information from the El Carabobeño newspaper website, which WP:VENRS states should be generally reliable compared to the El Periodiquito source, and added information based on the article after being unable to find an English source covering the information. I hope it works for the section, and once again, thank you for pointing these out and directing me to the advice shortcuts! Noble Attempt (talk) 21:19, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, Noble Attempt; looking good now! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:25, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
States of Venezuela
editVenezuela has 23 states. The "all 24 states" is a statement by chavista minister Nañez, presumably including the territory disputed with Guayana. I can find no indication that Venezuela administers the power grid in the disputed territory. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:13, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
