Removal of Laura Pidcock as a potentital candidate due to loss of seat?
editLaura Pidcock is no longer an MP, although I'm not 100% certain I thought this disqualifies her from Leadership and Deputy Leadership, on these grounds would it not make sense to remove her from the list of potential candidates? Melias C (talk) 18:00, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- They do have to be MPs, so I think it would be fair to remove her from the list. If there were speculation she might run after she'd lost her seat then she should be included, but I haven't seen any. Ralbegen (talk) 20:26, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

editShould the new template on the Lists subsection in the leadership article be adopted here as well? Unreal7 (talk) 16:56, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
Dennis Skinner as endorser for Richard Burgon
editDennis Skinner is surely notable enough to be mentioned? Almost becoming Father of the House and Member of Parliament for almost 50 years, IIRC the longest serving Labour MP in history? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade TruthTeller (talk • contribs) 20:49, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- As with everything on Wikipedia, the standard is simple: what do the sources say?
- If the endorsement is that notable, it shouldn't be hard to find a reliable third-party source that has covered it. TSP (talk) 18:43, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
Proposed split
editHello, I am proposing to split the list of PLP/CLP/Affiliate nominations to a new article (Nominations in the 2020 Labour Party deputy leadership election). This is to be uniform with the leadership election page. The overview section and summary table would stay, with the lists moving to said article.
