Lead

edit
  • The 2019 season was Geelong Football Club's first season in the AFL Women's (AFLW). <<<=== I'd suggest "first" instead of "first season" and adding "competition" at the end of the sentence.
  • 2018 national draft <<<=== I'd suggest "2018 AFL Women's draft"
  • win-loss record ===>>> win-loss record,
  • and therefore did not progress to the ===>>> something like "eliminating them before the"
  • Geelong's best and fairest award was won by Meg McDonald, who received 182 votes to relegate Olivia Purcell to second place with 168 votes. ===>>> Meg McDonald won Geelong's best and fairest award with 182 votes, finishing ahead of Olivia Purcell, who came in second place with 168 votes. ("relegate" is not right)
  • Per WP:INFOBOXCITE, you don't need to repeat sources in the infobox that are in the prose (all three).
  • Per WP:LEADCITE, you don't need links in the lead. The only one you don't already repeat in the prose is this one.

Background

edit
  • clubs from the related Australian Football League ===>>> associated clubs from the Australian Football League

Playing list

edit
  • Okay.

Season

edit
  • anterior cruciate ligament ===>>> anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) <<<=== I'd suggest adding that because the abbreviation is commonly used
  • The correspond chart to "Table of season results" on the 2019 Geelong Football Club season page also has ladder positions.

Awards

edit
  • Okay.

Overall

edit
  • All the links work!

Nothing major in the prose. Remove all of the lead and infobox links. Add the ladder column. Some minor prose things. And that's it! On hold. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 03:50, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review Sportsfan77777, I have applied all your suggested edits, with the exception of the Ladder column. I am unable to locate any reliable sources for the round-by-round ladder positions for this season (and it is not really a necessary inclusion anyway as it is only the end-of-season position that matters!). Also, I removed the "one link" from the lead as it was actually duplicated with this link used in the "Recruitment' section. Allied45 (talk) 08:08, 11 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
