How rare was this?

Was this a 100 year flood for this area? 20 year? 500 year? Homunq (talk) 02:28, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

From the National Weather Service - "The Little Missouri River, which runs through the area, climbed almost 20 feet in just a few hours at the nearby town of Langley (Pike County). The river crested just over 23 feet, which is the highest level since records began in 1988 (according to the USGS...or United States Geological Survey) [Did records begin in 1988, or 1888?]. This shattered the previous record by 10 feet! In a media interview, a woman living in the area most of her life said an event of this magnitude had not occurred since May, 1968. Naming

The article is currently named "June 2010 Arkansas floods". We don't need (according to WP:PRECISION) the "June" in name since this currently the only major flood in 2010. So, the naming should be only "2010 Arkansas floods" according to guidelines. --Kslotte (talk) 14:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

When someone moved the article, the edit summary was "Although not bad there, they did get impacted some by the May flood that was catastrophic in Tennessee - a better name". APK whisper in my ear 15:12, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Is there a risk if users to be confused which is which between June 2010 Arkansas floods and May 2010 Tennessee floods? I hope you Americans living in the area can give an answer on that. We can also use the Other uses template to distinguish the pages. --Kslotte (talk) 20:27, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
