Merge
editIt is suggested that the associated page 1st Academy Awards nominees and winners be merged into this one combining all information about the awards for this year on one page, and removing duplicated material. Thanks for your comments. Markhh (talk) 21:04, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Not really anything to discuss! The two articles are basically identical, but this one follows the naming convention of all of the others so it is the better choice. I shall enact. Manning (talk) 03:46, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Merge follow-up - there was no material on the 1st Academy Awards nominees and winners that was not already in this article as far as I could tell. Here's the diff for the final version in case anyone wants to double-check. Manning (talk) 03:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Sortable tables
editIs there much support for sortable tables especially if there is a way of tallying cumulative nomination/win results? The following is sortable but still figuring out how to tally.
Not certain if the coding gets lost in the posting so have saved a copy of the coded page personally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.170.88.72 (talk) 06:48, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- The problem with those tables is they increase the readibility of the page. Consider the 86 ceremonies use the current table, and there are much more awards in the subsequent years. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 01:13, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
I remember seeing that at one point they considered Last Command and Way of All Flesh nominations.
editI even remember a book from the late 1990s saying they were BP nominations, yet they no longer are or something. What exactly happened, anyone know? Wgolf (talk) 23:32, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
