Tropical Depression Seventeen Missing + Wrong Data
editA quick glance at the data seems to suggest that either the timeline or the dates for the individual storms are wrong and don't match up. 76.181.244.197 (talk) 16:15, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

Going to claim this (BTW, I have a GAN up that needs to pass within 24 hours to save my WikiCup). YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- "The season officially began on June 1 and lasted until November 30. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin." source for this? YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- I added a source for that later in the article (first sentence of the season summary).--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- "Also significant was Hurricane Fifi, which dropped torrential rain in Central America, especially Honduras. The hurricane left more than $1.8 billion in damage and at least 8,210 fatalities." pretty sure significant is on the words to watch page. Please avoid.
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- "Although a reconnaissance aircraft flight failed to locate a closed circulation early on June 22" link to Hurricane Hunter here.
- Done--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- " land weather stations in Mexico showed evidence of a circulation later that day.[9]"Mexico is land though so probably easier just to say "surface observation" YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- "before degenerating into a frontal boundary near Sable Island at about 00:00 UTC on August 15. " how does a state degenerate into a frontal oundary per se? Looking at Source doesn't explicitly say it was one either but it doesn't say how it died either. Perhaps change to "Later that day, the cyclone curved east-northeastward and accelerated,[3] while its circulation became increasingly ill-defined, resembling that of a front, near Sable Island at about 00:00 UTC on August 15." YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- You mention 12:00 UTC 3 times in Alma's section. Maybe change one to noon? YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Done--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- "The National Hurricane Center first began monitoring an area of shower and thunderstorm activity northeast of the Leeward Islands on August 20.>" > :P YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed> :P --12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- Could you cut back on MH of Fifi's time in the EPAC? YE Pacific Hurricane 03:57, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Better?--12george1 (talk) 02:38, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- More impact for Fifi? It's section is shorter than Cameron's after all. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Better?--12george1 (talk) 02:38, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- "In addition to the notable tropical depressions and the named storms," again see what I said about the words to watch bit with "significant" earlier. What is "notable" per se exactly? YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Better?--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- Watch for overlinking on the SE chart. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
- Why is stuff bolded on the SE chart? YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- The purpose was to highlight landfall locations, but using bold like that is against MOS. So I removed the bolded text--12george1 (talk) 02:04, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
Otherwise, it's good. YE Pacific Hurricane 03:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
- I think I've done everything. Thanks for the review!--12george1 (talk) 02:38, 30 April 2019 (UTC)
