Rename Article
editSince 1966 is the first Super Bowl, shouldn't the page be renamed to Super Bowl I? That would make sense. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 21:13, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
- No, that would absolutely not make sense because this game was NOT Super Bowl I. This game was played before the AFL-NFL merger was official in 1970. The National Football League and the American Football League were still separate entities in 1966. Each still had their own league championship game. Super Bowl I was considered the first AFL-NFL World Championship Game, where both the winner of the National Football League Championship Game and the winner of the American Football League Championship Game would play to determine who would be "World Champion" of pro football.
