Taft County (Persian: شهرستان تفت) is in Yazd province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Taft.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Garizat[a] and Kahduiyeh Rural Districts were separated from Nir District in the formation of Garizat District.[4] After the 2016 census, the village of Bakh was elevated to the status of a city.[5]

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 45,357 in 13,747 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 45,145 people in 14,325 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 43,893 in 14,659 households.[2]
