Swiss German University

Swiss German University (SGU)[1] is a private university and located at Alam Sutera, a community in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia.

Swiss German University (SGU) was established in 2000 as the first international university with an academic license recognized under Indonesian law. The license was issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

SGU was formed through a joint collaboration between Indonesian, German, Swiss, and Austrian institutions with the objective of bringing a strong international focus and promoting knowledge and technology in the higher education system of Indonesia.

Course structure

Students need to complete two internships during their studies to obtain their double degrees. The first internship will be in Indonesia (domestic) and the second internship will be abroad (usually in Germany or Switzerland).

Based on the Decree of the Director of the Executive Board of BAN-PT No. 2063/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/PT/XI/2024 dated November 12, 2024, Swiss German University has been accredited "Very Good".
