The works of ZoooooZ (Roland Zulehner) are known for their vibrant colours and playful motifs, which are strongly inspired by the Pop Art movement and artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His artwork is characterised by a cheerful and humorous style, often depicting happy and humorous subjects. Zoooooz often uses acrylic colours, which allow him to work quickly and efficiently.

A special feature of his works is the use of wire, which he uses to create dynamic and expressive sculptures. These works combine realism and abstraction and play with light and shadow to achieve a special depth effect. ZoooooZ's artworks are often a mixture of realism and abstraction that impress with their three-dimensional structure.

ZoooooZ's art is not only a tribute to Pop Art, but also a fresh and modern reinterpretation of this dynamic and vibrant art movement. He strives to spread joy and positivity through his art, using minimal means to achieve maximum impact.[2]

ZoooooZ's Philosophy: A Life as a Canvas

edit

Your life is a work of art, an ever-evolving masterpiece that you create and express through your deeds. It's not merely a picture that you draw or a song that you compose; it's also in the breakfast plate that you serve yourself and in the way you move through the world. Art is in everything you do, every small gesture, and every big decision.

Zoooooz embraces this philosophy wholeheartedly. For him, being an artist is not just about creating beautiful objects; it's about living creatively and finding beauty in the mundane. It's about transforming everyday moments into artistic expressions. Why am I an artist? Zoooooz would say, because food tastes better that way. Art enriches his experiences, making life more vibrant and meaningful.

Zoooooz lives by the belief that creativity isn't confined to the canvas or the studio; it's a way of life. It's about seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary and finding joy in the process of creation, whether it's painting a masterpiece or simply arranging flowers in a vase. Being an artist is not just a profession for Zoooooz, it's an essential part of his identity. I just am, he says, and everything else would be too banal for me.

ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner is an artist whose works are known for their vibrant and dynamic colours. When asked about his favourite colour, he often answers with a simple but profound ‘colourful’. For ZoooooZ, ‘colourful’ is not only an expression of diversity and vibrancy, but also an absolute experience of colour that reflects the essence of his artistic philosophy.

For ZoooooZ, ‘colourful’ means more than just a mixture of colours. It stands for the diversity and richness of the world, for the infinite possibilities of combination and the harmony in diversity. His artworks are living proof of this philosophy, as they often use a wide range of colours to bring emotions and stories to life.

However, when it comes to choosing a specific colour from this variety, ZoooooZ often prefers yellow. Yellow is a colour that represents energy, optimism and creativity - qualities that ZoooooZ values in his art and his life. He has a special affinity for yellow and dreams of inventing the ‘yellowest yellow’. He would then print this perfect yellow on his T-shirts, jackets and other garments to make a powerful statement and share his passion for this vibrant colour.

Early life

edit

ZoooooZ was born on January 11, 1974,[3] to Helmuth Zulehner and Karin Zulehner in Neresheim, West Germany. He grew up in Heidenheim and from a young age, he showed a keen interest in art. After completing his education in Technical Content Creation at the University of Applied Sciences, Aalen in 1999, he initially worked as a technical editor. However, his passion for art soon took precedence, and he transitioned into a full-time artist. Zulehner's early exposure to art and his formal education laid the foundation for his vibrant and playful artistic style that would later define his career.

The youth of ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner

edit

Roland Zulehner, known by his stage name ZoooooZ, spent his youth in an environment characterised by diversity and adventure. His parents, enthusiastic travellers, took him with them on their journeys through most of Europe. These extensive travels gave Roland a sense of international identity and a deep understanding of different cultures and ways of life from a very early age. These experiences strongly influenced his artistic outlook and his later work.

European travels

edit

Travelling with his parents took ZoooooZ through numerous European countries, from the sunny beaches of the Mediterranean to the historic cities of Central and Northern Europe. Each trip brought new impressions and inspirations that fuelled his creative spirit. This international perspective became an integral part of his identity and shaped his art, which is often characterised by vibrant colours and dynamic compositions.

Cycle tour to Vienna

edit

A special adventure in his youth was a cycle tour from Heidenheim to Vienna. This journey, which covered several hundred kilometres, was a small adventure for the young Roland. It not only demanded physical endurance, but also offered numerous opportunities to experience the landscape and culture intensively along the way. This experience strengthened his self-confidence and his determination to overcome challenges and break new ground, be it in art or in life.

Influence on art

edit

The diverse impressions and experiences from his youth have had a lasting influence on ZoooooZ's artistic work. His works are characterised by a vibrant colour palette and a dynamic depiction of movement and emotion, reflecting the diversity and richness of his experiences. His international identity and sense of adventure are palpable in each of his artworks, making his work unique and inspiring.

Roland Zulehner's youth, characterised by travel and adventure, laid the foundations for his successful career as an artist and made him what he is today: an internationally recognised artist with a unique view of the world.

The wild side of the youthful ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner

edit

In his youth, Zoooooz Roland Zulehner was known for his adventurous and wild side. His passion for canoeing on some of the wildest rivers in Central Europe was a particular feature of this phase of his life. Roland often travelled on rivers such as the Ötztaler Ache in Austria, the Rhein, Saane, Sanna, Inn in Switzerland and the Sava in Slovenia. These waters are known for their breathtaking landscapes, but also for their dangerous and demanding rapids, which challenge even experienced canoeists.

Roland's thirst for adventure led him to these wild rivers time and again, where he experienced the beauty and dangers of nature at first hand. But one particularly dangerous situation changed his view of these extreme tours: during a trip in his then long boat, he got stuck in a pocket of rock. At this critical moment, he narrowly escaped a life-threatening trap, which was a clear sign to him that he would no longer continue these daring tours in this form.

These experiences not only shaped his thirst for adventure, but also his view of risk and safety. The wild canoe trips were an important part of his youth, shaping his determination and courage, but also strengthening his respect for the forces of nature. Roland Zulehner's wild side and his adventures on the most dangerous rivers in Central Europe are a fascinating part of his life story that shows how challenges and borderline experiences can lead to important life lessons. These experiences have shaped him into the versatile and courageous artist he is today.

The mountaineering adventures of the young ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner

edit

In his youth, Zoooooz Roland Zulehner achieved impressive mountaineering feats and climbed the highest and most challenging peaks in Europe. His mountain tours are a testament to his determination and courage to test the limits of his physical and mental strength.

Summit conquests

edit

Among the significant mountains ZoooooZ has climbed are:

Rote Flue: A picturesque peak known for its breathtaking views.

Zugspitze: The highest mountain in Germany, notorious for its challenging routes and harsh weather.

Dachstein: A majestic peak in Austria, known for its challenging climbing passages.

Grossglockner: The highest mountain in Austria, a symbol of the challenges of alpinism.

Triglav: The highest peak in Slovenia, requiring both physical and mental endurance.

El Teide: The highest mountain in Spain, an impressive volcano on Tenerife.

These tours took him to the limits of his strength and demanded everything from him. Each ascent was not only a physical feat of strength, but also a spiritual experience that cemented his love of nature and his determination. Tours at the limit ZoooooZ's mountain tours were often characterised by extreme conditions and the highest levels of difficulty. He overcame steep rock faces, icy glaciers and unpredictable weather, always with the goal of reaching the summit in mind. These experiences taught him what it means to ‘be on top’ and to see the world from a new/different perspective.

Today's adventures

edit

Today, with a little less physical intensity, ZoooooZ still finds joy in mountaineering. One of his favourite peaks is the Alpspitz near Nesselwang. Although less challenging than his previous climbs, it still offers the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and connect with nature.

Influence on art

edit

The experiences of his youth have strongly influenced ZoooooZ's artistic work. Following the wisdom that an adventure is only over when you are back home again, just like a work of art when all the ideas have been realised and you as an artist can sleep well.

Career

edit

After graduating with a degree in technical editing from Aalen University of Applied Sciences in 1999, ZoooooZ began working as a technical editor and database expert for a large company. He finally gave up his job as an editor and began to explore his artistic side. He chose acrylic paint as his favourite medium as it dries quickly and reflects his artistic style.[4]

He gained recognition in 2004 for his first solo exhibition in Stuttgart. Soon after, ZoooooZ started to attract clients and other artists from the country. Zoooooz has exhibited in numerous art galleries in Germany as well as internationally. His art has been published in various publications, including Art Magazine.[5]

ZoooooZ's work is usually characterized by bold, graphic style and bright colors, and his paintings feature happy and humorous subjects. He has been compared to other known contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami.[6]

The idea behind the works

edit

ZoooooZ loves to do things differently, to make a small change with each work. Not asking what will be bought, but what really appeals, which makes a big difference. In doing so, ZoooooZ also switch off the ego as an artist so that he can create the right works for different places. To understand that different people live in a different place than the creator.

Invention, developing and Mention of the Name ZoooooZ

edit

Roland Zulehner's stage name ZoooooZ was born out of a deep passion for the unusual and the pursuit of individuality. The development of this unique name was a mixture of creative inspiration and personal meaning. The name ZoooooZ begins and ends with a Z, which refers to Zulehner's surname. The additional number of O's in the middle symbolises the idea of infinity and limitless potential (the evolution from Ars Infinity). The choice of this specific combination of letters and their repetition gives the name a certain rhythm and visual appeal that immediately catches the eye and remains in the memory. The total number of letters, seven, is also no coincidence but is meant to signify good luck. Furthermore, the O's in the name ZoooooZ reflect the cycle of life and art, the constant repetition and renewal that is central to ZoooooZ's artistic work. It also represents openness and vision, essential qualities that characterise his works. The symmetrical structure of the name creates a sense of balance and harmony, which can also be found in his artworks. Choosing the name ZoooooZ was therefore not a random act, but a well-considered decision that expresses his artistic philosophy and individual style in a unique way. It is a name that epitomises creativity, uniqueness and the ability to push boundaries - all qualities that are clearly visible in ZoooooZ's artistic work.

Wire Art

edit

ZoooooZ works with the Idea, do not force the Material und follow the Forms it loves to have. Wire loves chaotic round shapes twisted into themselves, repeating themselves over and over again. A mathematician sees the world of fractals [7] here. Flowers and nets are created. ZoooooZ has developed a classic still life from this, a playful bowl from which the apples roll out, bananas and cherries are created from the simplest coils of wire fixed with pure acrylic on a canvas. The Coloring is made to express the Form. Kandinsky's study of colour [8]

Concept and Inspiration

edit

ZoooooZ's Wire Art is inspired by the idea of maximising impact with minimal means. By using wire, ZoooooZ is able to create delicate yet expressive sculptures that are often a fascinating mix of realism and abstraction. These works of art play with light and shadow and create a special depth effect through their three-dimensional structure.

Techniques and materials

edit

ZoooooZ uses different types of wire to create his artworks. It depends on the thickness and flexibility of the wire to achieve the desired shapes and effects. He often combines different techniques such as bending, coiling and interlacing to create complex and detailed sculptures.

Themes and motifs

edit

ZoooooZ's wire art covers a wide range of themes and motifs. From figurative representations to abstract compositions - each sculpture tells its own story. The transparency of the wire allows the viewer to view the artworks from different angles and discover new details time and time again.

ZoooooZ and the influence of African art

edit

ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner is an artist whose works have always been known for their vibrant colours and skilful colour harmonies. The collaboration with Mumzy Maria Uberstein has further enhanced these qualities and brought a new dimension to Zoooooz's art, particularly through the influence of African art[9], more specifically art from South Africa.

African influence

edit

South Africa is a region where art still bathes in colour and where clothes are worn in bright, vibrant and sometimes screaming colours. This vibrant and colourful culture has had a profound influence on ZoooooZ's artistic expression. Under the inspiration of Mumzy Maria Uberstein, who brought the ideas of African art into ZoooooZ's work, works were created that are both visually stunning and emotionally moving[10].

The work ‘A Cup Full of Love’

edit

An outstanding example of this influence is the painting ‘A Cup Full of Love’. This painting shows an oversized coffee cup in which a typical African mum is bathing. The bright colours and dynamic composition of the work reflect the energy and warmth of South African art. The depiction of the African mama in the coffee cup is a symbolic fusion of everyday life and artistic imagination, offering a deep insight into the mindset and culture of Africa.

Art style and ways of thinking

edit

The influence of African art on ZoooooZ has not only enriched his colour palette, but has also changed his way of thinking and approaching art. The artworks exude a special warmth and humanity that comes from the combination of colours, shapes and cultural elements. This style of art invites the viewer to embark on a journey into a world of colour, emotion and cultural diversity.

Pizza Story by ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner and Mumzy Maria Uberstein [11]

edit

Pizza Story is an enchanting narrative artwork collaboratively created by ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner and Mumzy Maria Uberstein. This artwork combines elements of real-life events with the whimsical magic of fantasy, delivering a visually rich and storytelling experience.

The creation of the Pizza Story by Mumzy and Zoooooz [12][13]

edit

The Pizza Story by Mumzy Maria Uberstein and Zoooooz Roland Zulehner is a fascinating story born out of necessity and showcases the creative genius of the two artists. This inspiring story began at a time when the two artists' resources were scarce and the duo were faced with an unexpected challenge. At the time, Mumzy and Zoooooz had little acrylic paint and no canvas to realise their artistic visions. But instead of being discouraged, they were guided by a proverb from Africa: ‘No matter what you have, be creative and use it’. With this spirit in mind, they began to look for alternatives. In the midst of this scarcity, their eyes fell on the empty pizza boxes piled up around them. Mumzy, with her inexhaustible creativity and talent, took the insides of these pizza boxes and turned them into canvases. With a touch of acrylic paint and a wealth of inspiration, she began to draw marvellous images on the insides of the boxes. These extraordinary works of art, created out of necessity, quickly became a symbol of creative innovation and adaptability. The pizza boxes not only offered a practical solution, but also became a platform for Mumzy's unique, surreal style that blurs the boundaries between fantasy and reality. With their stunning images on the pizza boxes, Mumzy and Zoooooz have shown that there are no limits to creative imagination and that even the humblest of beginnings can result in great works of art.

Creation and Inspiration

edit

One happening of Pizza Story began on a bright summer's day when Zoooooz set off for a carefree drive in his elegant Triumph Spitfire MK4 classic car. With the wind playing in his hair and the sun reflecting off the shiny paintwork, it was an idyllic drive until a flat tyre occurred. Instead of succumbing to frustration, Zoooooz smiled and transformed this mishap into a creative adventure. Inspired by this event, Mumzy Maria Uberstein created an artistic portrayal where two pieces of pizza are depicted sitting on the flat tyre, humorously waiting for a tow truck.

Christmas and Creative Expansion

edit

As Christmas approached, the narrative expanded when Mumzy, arrived by plane from Capetown to wintry Germany. The festive scene was set with the two friends sitting cozily in front of the fireplace, the fire crackling merrily. The room was filled with hearty laughter and the delicious aroma of two perfectly baked pizzas. Capturing this moment in her signature style, Mumzy painted a surreal scene where giant slices of pizza floated around the room, merging seamlessly with the Christmas decorations and oversized pizza boxes.

Artistic and Cultural Impact

edit

Some of these delightful paintings have been placed on permanent display in various pizzerias. These artworks transport guests into a whimsical world of art and fantasy, enriching their dining experience with visual storytelling. ZoooooZ and Mumzy's paintings are more than mere artworks; they are vibrant narratives that blur the lines between reality and fantasy. They remind us that life itself is a canvas, filled with adventures and dreams awaiting artistic expression.

Conclusion

edit

Pizza Story by ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner and Mumzy Maria Uberstein celebrates the joy of creativity and the beauty of turning everyday moments into extraordinary artistic adventures. These artworks are a testament to the artists' ability to weave real-life experiences with imaginative elements, creating a lasting impact on their audience.

ZoooooZ, Mumzy and Siggi Schwarz: An artistic partnership[14]

edit

ZoooooZ Roland Zulehner, Mumzy Maria Uberstein and Siggi Schwarz are three creative minds whose collaboration has revolutionised the local art scene. Their meeting led to a reorientation in art, in which local visibility plays a central role and has set numerous inspiring projects in motion.

The influence of Siggi Schwarz

edit

A meeting with renowned guitarist Siggi Schwarz was the catalyst for a fundamental shift in ZoooooZ's artistic mindset. He recognised the importance of making art visible not only globally, but also locally. This led to the implementation of numerous projects, such as decorating old residential communities with works of art to enrich the lives of the residents with colour and creativity.

The portrait series: Siggi Schwarz and Friends

edit

One of the most outstanding collaborations was the creation of a complete series of portraits of all the members of Siggi Schwarz and Friends. Each portrait captures the uniqueness and musical talent of the band members, creating a stunning collection of artwork that shows the band in a completely new way. These portraits are a tribute to the music and the friendship that the artists share.

The idea of the guitar Scenes

edit

In addition to the portraits, the innovative idea of drawing the ‘coolest guitar scenes’ was developed. This series shows ever new poses and depictions of guitarists in passionate and dynamic moments. These works not only reflect the energy and skill of the musicians, but also express ZoooooZ's unique, surreal style. The collection of these guitar scenes is a tribute to the art of guitar playing and has produced numerous drawings that will delight both music and art lovers.

HomeCare[15] - Outpatient nursing and care Service

edit

The HomeCare art project by Roland Zulehner and Maria Ubersgtein, known under the artist names ZoooooZ and Mumzy, is an innovative initiative that combines art and social issues. The project was launched to draw attention to the importance and challenges of outpatient nursing and care services. With this project, ZoooooZ and Mumzy has not only created works of art, but also raised awareness of the work of carers.

Works of art and exhibitions

edit

The HomeCare art project includes a variety of artworks created specifically for the care service. ZoooooZ and Mumzy have collaborated with carers and those affected to collect ideas and create works that shed light on the everyday life and emotional strain of these important professions. The artworks are both realistic and surrealistic, emphasising the complexity and multi-layered nature of the subject.

The HomeCare exhibitions are on the premises of Homecare. The works have been well received by the public and have stimulated discussion about the importance of and support for carers. ZoooooZ has not only created art through this project, but has also provided a platform for social change.

Wound practice and Office
edit

In Homecare Valentina Beimler's wound healing practice, it was particularly important to create an atmosphere that was very different from the often grey and sterile medical practices and treatment rooms of the past. Instead of the absence of art or the usual unaesthetic posters from discount stores, a plan was developed here to bring colour and joy into the practice and at the same time create a calming atmosphere.

The images have been carefully selected and designed to distract from pain and suffering, helping both the patients and the treating staff to do a first-class job. By incorporating artwork that evokes positive and calming emotions, the practice contributes not only to the physical healing of patients, but also to their emotional healing.

The Sonnenhaus retirement home by Homecare Valentina Beimler sets new standards in the design of care facilities. The aim was to leave behind the sterile and impersonal character of traditional retirement homes and create an inviting, lively environment. To achieve this, the entire building was decorated from top to bottom with handmade pictures specially designed for this location.

The pictures were designed with special consideration for the residents. They are colourful, life-affirming and joyful to evoke positive emotions and fond memories. Instead of emphasising artistic egotism, the focus was on the needs and preferences of the residents. The works of art should help to convey a sense of home and well-being.

Each residential community has its own unique identity and the task of recognising and positively promoting this.

The pictures designed for this facility show scenes of dance and movement that express joie de vivre and activity. In addition, fields of flowers have been depicted that are so lively that you feel like you want to lie down in them. These works of art are not only intended to be aesthetically pleasing, but also to create a cheerful and calming atmosphere that invites residents to feel at ease.

On a later visit, residents were seen to have started playing with colours themselves and drawing their own pictures inspired by the artwork on display.

This creative initiative aims to print works of art on beer mats, making them accessible to everyone as advertising and art. The beer mat, in its standardised size, is neither too big nor too small and is ideal as a small souvenir or gift.

Special places and spots

edit

Every place, every square is a challenge for the artist, the task is always to find an idea which is transformed into a work of art in order to form a symbiosis with the respective place. Rarely is there enough time to let the muse kiss you. The artist has to return to the place as often as necessary until he has inhaled the idea.

Art and sport are best friends

edit

Introduction

edit

Art and sport are two fields that have little in common at first glance. However, a closer look reveals that the two disciplines share a deep connection. This connection manifests itself in the depiction of sporting activities in art as well as in the creative interpretation of sporting themes.

Historical development [21]

edit

People have been fascinated by drawings and paintings from the world of sport for centuries. In ancient times, athletes were immortalised in sculptures and mosaics, while idealised bodies were depicted in paintings during the Renaissance. These depictions often reflected the social ideals and ideas of beauty of their time.

Critical phases and new approaches

edit

However, there were also times when creative art suffered badly as a result of abuse. Depictions of extremely idealised bodies led to unrealistic ideals[22] of beauty and social pressure. This phase encouraged artists to break new ground and develop alternative representations.

One example of a creative approach is the depiction of a cat that wants to have a beach body in her story and therefore shows various exercises in pictures. This humorous and inspiring depiction shows how art and sport can be combined in a playful way.

Modern interpretations

edit

In modern art, there are numerous examples of creative explorations of sporting themes. One particularly imaginative example is the depiction of a heavy, tricky and dangerous opponent in the form of a currywurst facing a boxer in a fight. This depiction symbolises the daily challenges and temptations that athletes face and humorously shows the fight against unhealthy habits.

ZoooooZ and the promotion of the sporting spirit

edit

One outstanding example of the combination of art and sport is the ‘ZoooooZ’ project. This project has set itself the task of introducing children to sport in a playful yet serious way. Through art without false role models. With creative and diverse ideas, children are encouraged to get involved in sport and exercise while having fun. Smudgy the house cat is the model for several drawn sporting exercises.

Conclusion

edit

Art and sport really are best friends. Both areas inspire each other and offer countless opportunities for creative expression. Whether through humorous presentations, critical analyses or inspiring projects - the combination of art and sport enriches both disciplines and shows how diverse and fascinating this friendship can be.

edit

The Sports Club Viper in Aalen offers highly professional fitness training for children. Various central themes were taken into account when creating the images for the club, including discipline, fun, losing and also winning. A particularly humorous element of the series is the depiction of the biggest opponent, the inner bastard, as a duel against a giant sausage. This playful visualisation is intended to motivate the young athletes and teach them in an entertaining way how to overcome inner hurdles.

Another remarkable image shows an exhausted fighter sitting on a bench, realising that the next fight is just around the corner. These images are designed not only to inspire children, but also to teach them important values and lessons along their journey in sport.

Projects and Vision

edit

The duo has set itself the goal of revolutionising the visual aesthetics of pubs and cocktail bars. Their artworks are intended to enhance the atmosphere of these venues and offer guests a special experience. By combining surreal elements with the vibrant and often humorous aspects of pop art, they create artworks that are both engaging and profound.

Their works are not only decorative elements, but also topics of conversation that inspire guests and make them think. With their art, Mumzy and ZoooooZ aim to create a connection between the viewer and the spaces in which the works are displayed.

edit

Special care was taken to ensure that the paintings for the Cello wine bar harmonise elegantly with the darkened room. The use of lots of colour, but without exaggeration, allows the artwork to fit seamlessly into the space and the given theme. This creates an aesthetic balance that promotes both the attention and well-being of the guests.

When designing the images for the Felsen Bar in Heidenheim, care was taken to ensure that it is an American-style bar with a Texan influence. The bar is a little lighter in colour to give it the special charm expected of a cocktail bar. The pictures were integrated into the atmosphere of the space and together reflect one ongoing theme.

For the exhibition at Café Cut in Giengen, a special series of paintings was created to match the playful and cosy ambience of the vegan café. Although almost any theme was allowed, the artworks were designed to provide a sensory experience and fit perfectly into the space.

The café itself is known for its unique interior, which offers a mix of playful charm and cosy corners. To reflect this ambience, a series of images was developed to appeal to the senses and offer guests an intense visual experience. One example of this is the painting ‘Ear by Gogh’, which was combined with the work ‘Play Like Hell’, which depicts a guitar player - the image not only conveys visual impressions, but also allows you to literally hear the music.

These artistic combinations invite visitors to open their senses and fully enjoy the creative atmosphere of the café.

The Rialto ice cream parlour in Heidenheim's Schlossarkaden embodies the typical flair of an Italian ice cream parlour. When designing the images, great importance was attached to emphasising the Italian style and taking into account the ambience of a typical shopping centre with its characteristic cold light. The images are intended to make guests want an ice cream or a pizza and at the same time convey a cheerful and inviting feeling.

The artwork has been carefully designed to reflect the warm and sociable atmosphere of an Italian ice cream parlour while complementing the modern surroundings of the Schlossarkaden. Through a combination of vibrant colours and detailed imagery, the images capture the essence of indulgence and joie de vivre that characterises the Rialto ice cream parlour.

Several themes had to be taken into account when creating the images for the Männer Café in Heidenheim. The room is bright and flooded with light, which creates an elegant effect through the furnishings. At the same time, the ‘men’ theme was to be integrated without appearing exaggerated. A special highlight is the integration of the well-known Heidenheim face Siggi Schwarz, who adds a special cultural touch with his rock ‘n’ roll theme.

The Arslan Kebap Restaurant is a place where cultures merge and form a community. When creating the images, particular emphasis was placed on reflecting this cultural diversity and community spirit. The artwork in the restaurant focuses on sport and football, reflecting the passion and cohesion of the guests. The love of colour is clearly visible in each painting and the artwork manages to incorporate both conservative and progressive elements. The aim was to create a space where guests can enjoy their meal in a cosy and calm atmosphere. The paintings support this atmosphere by being both visually appealing and exuding a sense of calm

Personal life

edit

Roland Dirk Zulehner's and his creative partner in an active role is Maria Uberstein, a South African artist who has been cooperating with him since February 2020. His social causes include donating his artwork to charity and organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières.[84] Roland has been caring for his mother with dementia at home since 2018.

Support for a boy with cystic fibrosis in South Africa

edit

As part of a charity campaign in cooperation with the Lions Club International in South Africa, a major auction was held to provide a young boy suffering from cystic fibrosis with the medical treatment he needs. The main aim of the auction was to raise enough funds to pay for the expensive medication for the boy's treatment. To achieve this goal, the artists Mumzy Maria Uberstein and ZoooooZ donated a total of 10 paintings, which were auctioned off at the event. The auction was organised under the auspices of the Lions Club International. The event attracted a large number of art lovers, collectors and benefactors who were willing to bid generously to support the good cause. All 10 donated paintings found new owners and the proceeds of the auction exceeded expectations. The funds raised were used directly to purchase the urgently needed medication, making a significant contribution to improving the boy's quality of life.
