River Omari Wilson-Bent (born 15 January 1994) is a British middleweight boxer who made his professional debut in 2018 and is known as "the Coventry Crusader".[1]

Life
editWilson-Bent was born in Coventry in 1994.[2] He started boxing while a pupil at Nicholas Chamberlain School in Bedworth.[3] He boxes out of Coventry, is trained by Brendan Norman and is managed by Jon Pegg.[4] He signed with promoter Mick Hennessy in 2021,[5] and also works as a roofer.[3]
Wilson-Bent won the vacant BBBofC Midlands Area Middle title in 2020, fighting against previously undefeated Troy Coleman.[6] He defended his title against George Farrell in 2021, winning in the seventh round.[5] 2021 also saw a draw in the English Middleweight title fight against Tyler Denny.[7]
He was beaten by Hamzah Sheeraz in a second-round stoppage when fighting for the Commonwealth title and WBC silver belt in 2022.[8][9] He fought against Shakiel Thompson in a ten round fight in 2024.[4][10]
Wilson-Bent is a supporter of Coventry City F.C..[1][11][12]
