edit

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:48, 2 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Question on the natura of Andriambahomanana

edit

Hi to everyone, I was looking for references for the article about Andriambahomanana of the Malagasy mythology. I searched on Internet Archive, and I found mostly things that agree with the wiki page. But then I encounterned A dictionary of African mythology: the mythmaker as storyteller by Harold Scheub, a vast collection of folktales.

One of this says: "The sons of God, Andriambahomanana, with their nurses, Rakoriaho and Ravao, descended to the earth. [...] When a messenger told Andriambahomanana of this state of affairs, God told them to stop the quest. [...]".

Basically it seems to suggests that Andriambahomanana can be considered a God, something that seems to contraddict every informations that I had. Does anyone here have a possibile explonation of this, or alternate good sources for Malagasy mythology? Flatlandia (talk) 12:52, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Stub categories

edit

Back in July, I created stub categories for Traditional African religions stubs and Afro-American religion stubs. It would be great if people could help populate those. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:56, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
