Okere is a parliament constituency in the Republic of Ghana. Hon. Daniel Botwe is the member of parliament for the constituency and the current Minister for Local Government and Rural Development.[2] He was elected on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2008 and won with a total number of 11,974 amounting to 60.83% [3] of the vote cast to become the MP. He succeeded Brandford Kwame Daniel Adu who had represented the constituency in the 4th Republic parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).[2] The Okere constituency is one of the 275 constituencies under the 8th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.[4]
