add " (UTC)" string?
editI propose we add " (UTC)" after the message. This would eliminate potential confusing about the time (local vs UTC) and also match our comment signatures' timestamps. Currently, I do not know if the timestamp displayed actually is always the UTC or sometimes a local time depending on user preferences. If the time displayed depends on user preferences, we should indicate that too. Jason Quinn (talk) 13:08, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
- Suggestion at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Why can't the time in the footer identify the time zone? to add UTC for unregistered users. Registered users may have set another time zone at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering. PrimeHunter (talk) 09:05, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
