Career

edit

In 2004 he started as a Commercial Model with his twin sister Cassy Legaspi. In 2018, Mavy and Cassy signed a contract with GMA Artist Center (now Sparkle), joining their parents in the entertainment industry, as well as GMA Network.[2]

After Regine Velasquez shifted back to its rival ABS-CBN, Sarap Diva is rebranded to Sarap, 'Di Ba? with him and Cassy joining their mother Carmina Villaroel as replacements.[3]

Legaspi began hosting a variety show via Studio 7.[4] He later joined All-Out Sundays after the former concluded.[5]

Following the controversial departure of original hosts due to a dispute, Legaspi joined the TAPE Inc. iteration of longest noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! as the replacements.[6] However in 2024, the show is renamed to Tahanang Pinakamasaya after TVJ won the copyright case.[7]

Personal life

edit

Legaspi was in a relationship with actress Kyline Alcantara. The two started as good friends and eventually became a couple. Their relationship was publicly revealed through various interviews and social media posts. However, as of November 2023, there were speculations about their separation, although no official confirmation was provided.[8][9][10][11] On February 26, 2024, Dasuri Choi denied claims and rumors linking her to the Legaspi and Alcantara's breakup.[12] In August 2024, Kyline Alcantara confirmed in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda the Legaspi and Alcantara's breakup.[13]
