La Motte-Servolex (French pronunciation: [la mɔt sɛʁvɔlɛks]; Arpitan: La Mota-Cèrvolê) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is part of the urban area of Chambéry.[3]

editLa Motte-Servolex has a humid continental climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb) closely bordering on a humid subtropical climate (Cfa). The average annual temperature in La Motte-Servolex is 11.9 °C (53.4 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,391.8 mm (54.80 in) with October as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 21.2 °C (70.2 °F), and lowest in January, at around 2.5 °C (36.5 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in La Motte-Servolex was 39.7 °C (103.5 °F) on 12 August 2003; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −18.0 °C (−0.4 °F) on 7 January 1985.
