Geography

edit

To avoid confusion, two wards cover the northwestern part of the town. One includes the ward and Morton under the "North Gainsborough" ward on West Lindsey District Council.[6] The latter of which Gainsborough Town Council is not responsible for as the village has its own parish council.[7] The ward on the town council only covers up to the boundary with Morton which is Front Street/The Little Belt Road.[8] The parish church for Morton is located on the opposite side of Front Street in the ward's coverage.[9]
