The international co-production between United States and Mexico, had its world premiere at the Main Competition of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where it will compete for the Golden Bear.[2]

Production
editIn September 2023, it was announced that the film was in post-production after filming wrapped in San Francisco.[5] The film was also shot in Mexico City.[6] The filmmakers were granted a waiver from SAG-AFTRA which granted them to make the film during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[5]
In July 2024, it was announced that the international rights to the film were sold to the Match Factory.[6]
Reception
editStephanie Bunbury of Deadline Hollywood gave the film a negative review and wrote, “As a heartbreaker, Dreams is flat and entirely affectless.”[7]
Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian awarded the film four stars out of five.[8]
