Som Production is a private media company based in Mogadishu, Somalia.[1][2] Founded in 2019,[3] the company offers a variety of services,[4] including television shows, documentaries, music distribution,[5] and digital media.[6]
Overview
editSom Production, in addition to its core services, distributes art through various online platforms, promoting Somali youth talent internationally, and expanding the local music scene[7][8]. The genres it produces inclue: Quranic recitations,[9] Nasheeds,[10] Poetry,[11] and more.[12][13]
Despite challenges such as political instability and limited financial infrastructure,[14][15] Som Production has been resilient, with strong partnerships with educational institutions, healthcare, businesses, government, and local and international organizations.[16][17]
