Søren Bebe is a Danish jazz pianist and composer. He is a bandleader for the Søren Bebe Trio as well as a sideman with artists including Cæcilie Norby and Benjamin Koppel. As a solo pianist he has produced a series of ballet class music.
Early Life and Education
editBebe was born on 5 December, 1975 in Odense, Denmark.[1]. He starting learning piano from age 8 and at age 29 graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with an advanced postgraduate diploma in music for exceptional soloists[1]
Career
editBebe created an early album with Danish singer Rikke Mølgaard in 1995[2]. For seven years until 2004 he studied in the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus including with Swedish jazz pianist Lars Jansson.[1]
After graduating he formed the Søren Bebe Trio with Anders Mogenson on drums and Kasper Tagel on bass. They released their first album Searching in 2007. 7 more albums have been released up to 2024 including one featuring Marc Johnson.[3]
Additional collaborative work has included an album with Ditte Rønn-Poulsen as RØST[4] in 2011 and one with Jakob Buchanan and Kasper Tagel in 2014.[2]
Solo work has included a series of albums containing music for ballet class.[2]
