Khadim Purgi is prominent Social activist and Businessman in the kargil District of Union Territory of Ladakh India known for his leadership and advocacy for the rights of tribal communities of ladakh. He is the chairman of Ladakh Tribal foundation (LTF), a non profit organisation dedicated to the welfare and development of the indigenous tribal populations in Ladakh.Under his leadership, the foundation has been in various initiatives aimed at improving education, Women and child Development, health and hygiene and over all living standards for the needy tribal peoples of ladakh.He is the Owner/CEO of Tribal Enterprises & constructions and Co-Founder of Native Ladakh (Travel agency).He is also the Founding Member of Jawadiah Project Care Kargil an Educational and Social Wing of Jamiatul Ulema Houza e Elmiya Asna Asharia (JUIAK) Kargil Ladakh to create assets for the society from among the weaker Sections of Society.
Early Life and Family
editBorn on November-1st-1988 in a Shia Muslim Family. He is the son of Ahmad Hussain hailing from Thangdumbour, sankoo, Kargil. Growing up in a close-knit community, he was deeply influenced by the traditions and values of his family, which emphasized education and social responsibility. He spend his early childhood at Kullan, valley of District Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. Khadim Purgi attended his basic education from JAFFARIYA ACADEMY OF MODERN EDUCATION, Kargil, Ladakh, where he excelled academically. his curiosity about the world around him led him to pursue higher education in Bachelor of Arts from University of Kashmir, B.ed from Jammu University and Master's degree in history from Indira Gandhi national open university New Delhi. After completing his studies, he dedicated himself to Social activism, focusing on issues related to Education, health & hygiene, women and child development. He became a prominent figure in his community, advocating for the rights of marginalized groups and working to improve education in rural tribal areas. Despite his busy professional life, Purgi Values his family and maintains strong connections with his roots. He is married and have a son. In his free time, he enjoys reading, Hiking, travelling, Photography and spending time in Nature.
