editShazia Mari of the Pakistan Peoples Party sent him a legal notice of a Rs 10 Billion for defamation when Harmeet made a post on X regarding a raid by her, which turned out to be fake news. Harmeet was sacked from his job at Public News since Shazia Mari threatened the channel of stopping all government advertisements.[5]
