Fenerspor, better known as Zonguldakspor was a Turkish professional football club based in Zonguldak. The club was also known as Kara Elmas (Dark Diamond), referring to coal mining.

History

In the 2010–11 season Zonguldakspor ended as 4th of the Turkish Regional Amateur League Group 7. As a consequence the team had to play a play-out on the 24th of April 2011 against Demir Madencilik Dilaverspor (later renamed as Zonguldak Kömürspor on May 18, 2011). The club lost 4-2 and as a result relegated to the Turkish Amateur Football Leagues.[2][3][4]

After the general assembly in May 2011 it was decided to change the club name from Zonguldakspor into Fenerspor.[5][6] The club colors changed from red-navy blue to bordeaux, blue and white. Fenerspor did not field a team for the 2011-2012 season and was dissolved in 2012.
