Evelyn Giovine (born May 23, 1994) is an American actor, writer, and producer. She is best known for her leading role as Verity in the Tubi Original, The Sintern. She is also known for her television roles as Grace in Apple TV+'s The Crowded Room, Dominque Zangihi in Showtime's City on a Hill, among others. Giovine can be seen in the upcoming Kevin Smith feature, The 4:30 Movie, and Tribeca X's 2024 selection for best feature, Audrey's Children.[1]
Early life and education
editGiovine grew up in Colts Neck and Rumson, New Jersey. She attended Ranney School grades 6-12.[2]
Giovine graduated from Princeton University where she earned a BA degree in English with a focus in Slavic Studies in addition to a Theater Certificate.[3] Immediately following Princeton, Giovine attended Yale School of Drama, where she earned an MFA degree in acting.[4]
Career
editSoon after graduating from Yale, Giovine landed the guest star roles of Christine Chartrand in Fox's Prodigal Son, and Linda in CBS's Evil. Those were followed by recurring guest stars, Grace in Apple TV+'s The Crowded Room, across from Tom Holland, and Dominque Zangihi in Showtime's City on a Hill, across from Kevin Bacon.
In 2022, Giovine landed a supporting role across from Natalie Dormer in the upcoming feature, Audrey's Children.[5] Giovine also plays a supporting role in the upcoming Kevin Smith film, The 4:30 Movie.
Giovine filmed her first lead in a feature film in the Tubi Original The Sintern, released in June of 2024.
In addition to acting, Giovine writes and produces her own work including the webseries Gimme a Break,[6] co-created with Emily Wiest and Emma Istha, available on YouTube, as well as the short film State Lines.
