Chadatip Chutrakul
editChadatip Chutrakul (Thai: ชฎาทิพ จูตระกูล), née Chadatip Charuvastr (Thai: ชฎาทิพ จารุวัสตร์), is a Thai business executive and retail development entrepreneur. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat Company Limited, Co-Chief Executive Officer of ICONSIAM Company Limited, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Paragon Development Company Limited, and Vice Chairman of Siam Paragon Retail Company Limited. She also serves as a member of the National Soft Power Strategy Committee.
Chadatip was the first Thai inductee into the World Retail Hall of Fame by the World Retail Congress. She was named by Forbes Asia as one of the Top 50 “Power Women” for three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016 and recognized as an “Outstanding Asian Women Entrepreneur” by ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) in 2018.

editChadatip Chutrakul currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siam Piwat Group, a prominent real estate and retail development company in Thailand that owns and operates Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and the Siam Piwat Tower Office Building and a joint venture partner of ICONSIAM, ICS, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok.
In addition to her role as the Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., Chadatip holds the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer at Siam Paragon Development Co., Ltd. She also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Siam Paragon Retail Co., Ltd. and holds a directorial position at ICONSIAM Co., Ltd.

Work Experience
editChadatip began her professional career in the United Kingdom, where we worked at Sedgewick International Ltd. in the Offshore Resources Department and later at Willis Faber & Dumas Ltd. in the International Division. Upon returning to Thailand, she joined Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, where she served as the Acting Manager of the Oil and Gas Insurance Department.
In 1986, Chadatip joined Siam Center and Siam Piwat Group in 1986, initially as an accounting manager responsible for revenue management. She later took on responsibilities for all sales and promotions at Siam Center. This experience provided her with comprehensive knowledge of the company’s operations and the retail industry at large. It allowed her to understand the challenges faced by customers visiting the shopping center while also building relationships with business partners and tenants.
In 1996, Chutrakul was appointed as Managing Director, and later in 2009, she became the Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat Group. Under her leadership, the company launched several significant projects. In 2005, Siam Paragon opened as a world-class shopping center with the tagline “The Pride of Bangkok,” boasting over 550,000 square meters of floorspace. In 2013, Siam Center underwent a complete renovation and was relaunched as “Siam Center - The Ideopolis,” positioned as a hub of innovative ideas. Subsequently, in 2016, Siam Discovery underwent a transformation and was reintroduced as “The Exploratorium - Siam Discovery” – Thailand’s first lifestyle specialty store.
Subsequently, Siam Piwat expanded its portfolio with two major projects. In 2018, the company launched ICONSIAM, a 54-billion-baht development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, which was marketed as “The Next Global Destination.” This was followed by the opening of Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok in 2020.
Under Chadatip’s leadership, Siam Piwat Group has experienced rapid and continuous growth. The group currently comprises 48 subsidiaries across various business sectors, including shopping centers, office buildings, department stores, convention and exhibition centers, digital platforms integrating offline and online customer experiences, facility management, marketing communications, and retail operations.

editChadatip Chutrakul (nickname: Pam) was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. She is the daughter of General Chalermchai Charuvastr, the founder of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Siam Piwat Company Limited (initially named Bangkok Intercontinental Hotels Company Limited), and Dr. Ladda Charuvastr, a dentist. Chadatip has two older brothers, Charnchai Charuvastr and Charlie Charuvastr.
Chadatip earned her bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Chulalongkorn University. Additionally, she received a certificate in Oil & Gas Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute in England.
Chadatip is married to Apichart Chutrakul, the founder and CEO of Sansiri Company LImited, a prominent real estate development firm in Thailand. The couple has one daughter.
