Chad Joshua Spencer (born April 14, 2003), known professionally as simply Chad Spencer (occasionally stylized as CHAD SPENCER), is an American rapper, singer-songwriter and producer. He is also the founder of the rap collective CSMUSIC. He is known for his experimental sound, as well as religious themes blending modern trap and punk rock.

Early Life

Chad Spencer was born on April 14, 2003, in Houston, Texas, to an American mother and a father of Mexican descent. Chad has two younger brothers, and spent most of his childhood in Houston. After finishing high school, Chad moved to the Greater Los Angeles area in pursuit of a music career.

Career

2022-present: Career beginnings and Yeezy

In early 2023, Chad Spencer would be scouted by Kanye West and later hired at his brand Yeezy. Spencer served as Chief Reporter at YEWS, an online news platform curated by Kanye West himself.[1] Chad Spencer would work closely with individuals such as Milo Yiannapoulos and Dov Charney. However, after the subsequent shutdown of YEWS in early 2024, Spencer would be fired along Milo Yiannapoulos. He would reside at the Garbutt House during his stay in Los Angeles.[2]

Chad Spencer would post his first song demos on the music platform BandLab.[3] He would go on to drop his debut single "Alien", featuring BIGBABYGUCCI and his brother Ethan Ezra, on December 31, 2023.[4]

On April 14, 2024, he released a single titled "ANGEL" mixed by Keyon Christ and Ricky Dean Bro. On October 31, 2024, he released a collaborative EP with his brother Ethan Ezra titled "RAW" mixed and featuring Keyon Christ.
