Brian Thompson is an American businessman and CEO of UnitedHealthcare, the largest American health insurer.[1]
Thompson worked as an auditor at PwC for six years before joining UnitedHealth in 2004. He was head of UnitedHealth's government programs, including the departments of Medicare & Retirement and Community & State, his appointment in 2021 as CEO.[2] He was also previously the financial controller of UnitedHealth's UnitedHealthcare's Employer & Individual division. In 2021, Thompson owned approximately 0.1% of UnitedHealth in stock and stock options.[3]
