So how about stepping up to the plate and building up that Big Brain Brawn in a variety of styles, whether it's by untangling thorny puzzles alone, or by going head-to-head in thrilling contests with rivals?

— Official Description of Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain is split into three sections; "Practice", "Super Practice", and "Test". The three sections are there for the player to help increase their Big Brain Brawn size during the mini-games they'll be playing from the game's five categories.

In Practice: The Player can select from one of the four mini-games out of the five categories, and those categories in Practice Mode are; Compute, Analyze, Memorize, Identify, Visualize. As the Player continues to get the correct answers in each mini-game, the difficulty will start to increase and their Big Brain Brawn size will also increase. Most of the mini-games from the Original Big Brain Academy and Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree return in Brain vs Brain

In Test: The Player gets a randomly selected mini-game from one of the five categories. They have 60 seconds to get the highest score as they can until the final test mini-game is complete and the timer runs out. Then, Dr Lobe assess the Player and gives advice on how the Player can improve on their in-game Brain Score; such as playing more Practice Mode, etc...

In Super Practice: You'll get the exact mini-games from the Original Practice Mode, but instead of starting with the easiest difficulty, you'll start on a more harder difficulty and the mini-game gets even more difficult as you progress. Once you've completed one of the Super Practice mini-games, depending on your score, you'll either get a Bronze, Gold, Silver, or Platinum Lobe Medal (The Player gets these Medals in Practice Mode)
