History
editIt acquired the former North Adams Regional Hospital property from Bankruptcy Court on August 29, 2014.[1][2]
BMC paid a total $3.4 million for the hospital campus and NBH's fixed assets, and $600,000 for the Northern Berkshire Family Practice. The purchase was finalized in bankruptcy court on August 29, 2014.[2]
BHS announced a plan to reopen North Adams Regional Hospital in 2024, a decade after the sudden closure in 2014.[3] After a $2.85 million renovation, BHS opened and admitted it's first patient at the new 18-bed North Adams Hospital on March 28th.[4]
On September 9 2024, Berkshire Health announced it would be opening a new urgent care facily in Lenox.[5]
