According to local tradition, the village is historically significant due to its association with Baba Raghuni Maharaj, a revered saint who is believed to have visited the area long ago.

In honor of Baba Raghu is Maharaj and his profound connection to Balutola, a memorial was established at the site, known as Baba Raghuni Sthan. Over time, this site has grown in significance and is now a popular place of pilgrimage and reverence. Devotees from near and far visit Baba Raghuni Sthan to pay their respects, offering prayers and seeking blessings.

Due to this the nearby station got the name Baba Raghuni Halt Dwarika[4]
