Aku Sakari Syrjä (b. 4. April 1959 Ylöjärvi)[1] is a Finnish musician, who is known as Finnish band Eppu Normaali's drummer, Eppu Normaali Oy CEO and Akun tehdas director. He has also been in the bands Screaming Thunders and AllWays+, of which he also played the drums. He is also the substitute drummer for the band Henkka Hyppöstä Nyrok Dolls.
In 2000 Syrjä was drummer on Eläkeläiset's Germany and Netherlands tour called Sakari Liimatainen.[2] He has also appeared in Finnish sketch comedy series Epilaattori.
Aku Syrjä is cousins with Eppu Normaali's guitarist Mikko Syrjä and lead vocalist Martti Syrjä.[1] His father, Seppo Syrjä is a layout designer and editorial cartoonist. His uncles are Juhani Syrjä and Jaakko Syrjä, who is Mikko's and Martti's father. Aku's brother Heikki Syrjä is a screenwriter.
