7LEVELS S.A. is a Polish video game developer and a publisher based in Kraków, Poland. The studio is most known for developing Castle of Heart (2018), and for publishing Afterburn's Golf Peaks[2] (2019) and Railbound[3] (2023). The company's name reflects their goal to create games with multiple levels.
History
editThe company was founded in November 2014 by Krzysztof Król and Paweł B., both of whom had prior experience in the video game industry. 7LEVELS's first project, Castle of Heart for the Nintendo Switch, was well received for its gameplay, level design, presentation, but criticized for its difficulty.[4] Afterwards, 7LEVELS would expand its operations to include publishing by collaborating with other indie developers to bring their games to the Nintendo Switch such as Afterburn, another Polish video game developer.
7Levels would continue to grow. It would announce in August 2024 Kong: Survivor Instinct, a 2.5D action-adventure game based on Legendary's Monsterverse Franchise.[5]
