Cloey Elaine Uddenberg (born 13 November 2002) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for AFC Toronto in the Northern Super League. Born in Canada, she represents Saint Kitts and Nevis at international level.

University career
editIn 2020, she began attending the University of Guelph, playing for the women's soccer team. In her rookie season in 2021 (the 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), she was OUA and U Sports Rookie of the Year, OUA West Player of the Year, and was named to the Second Team All-Canadian and U Sports All-Rookie team.[2][3][4] She became the first Guelph player to ever win the national Rookie of the Year Award.[5] In 2022, she was named an OUA West First Team All-Star.[6]
In 2023, she transferred to the University of South Alabama, where she joined the women's soccer team.[7]
In 2024, she transferred to Purdue University to play for the women's soccer team.[8] On August 25, 2024, she scored her first NCAA Division I goal in a victory over the UIC Flames.[9]
Club career
editUddenberg played for League1 Ontario side Aurora FC from 2017 to 2019.[10][11][12]
In 2021, she played for Guelph Union.[13] She scored one goal on August 24, against Unionville Milliken SC.[14]
In 2022, she joined Simcoe County Rovers FC.[15] She was named a league First Team All-Star in 2022.[16] In 2023, she was named the league's Midfielder of the Year and a league First Team All-Star.[17][18] When she started for the club against Alliance United on May 4, 2024 she became the clubs all time record appearance leader.[citation needed]
In November 2024, she signed a professional contract with AFC Toronto in the Northern Super League for the 2025 season.[19][20]
International career
editEligible for Canada and St. Kitts and Nevis, Uddenberg was encouraged to try out for the St. Kitts and Nevis team by her father.[21]
Uddenberg represented St Kitts and Nevis at the 2020 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship qualifying stage and two CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship qualifiers (2018 and 2019).[22]
She also represents the Saint Kitts and Nevis senior team. She scored a hat trick against Grenada on May 23, 2018 at the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship qualification.[23] She scored another hat trick on October 8, 2019 against Antigua and Barbuda at the 2020 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship qualification.[24]

Personal life
editUddenberg's paternal grandparents hail from Saint Kitts and Nevis.[25][26] Her sisters, Kayla and Carley, are also members of the Saint Kitts and Nevis women's national football team.[27][28]
