editIs there any reason why the appropriate African American members from the House of Representatives have not been added to this category? Plans to categorize them elsewhere? cbustapeck 01:22, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- OK. I'm working on them.—Markles 03:11, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Obama needs to be here.
- He is a Senator; therefore, he's not here.
Dates for context
editIt would help if we had some dates to give this some context. e.g., who on the list is from prior to 1965?Dogru144 01:54, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Category Re-name
editShouldn't this category technically be entitled African Americans in the United States House of Representatives? And then put both this category and African Americans in the United States Senate under the category African Americans in the United States Congress. Comments? Thoughts? --Caponer (talk) 23:53, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that this category's name should be changed, though to be more specific it should be Category:African American members of the House of Representatives. Then this category should be placed, along with Category:African American United States Senators, in to the parent category of Category:African Americans in the United States Congress. --Wassermann (talk) 03:41, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
