In the 2018 election, Babu Singh lost to Indian National Congress candidate Meena Kanwar.[3]
He won the election for the fourth time in 2023 by defeating INC candidate Meena Kanwar. He was seen fighting with BSF jawans in a polling booth and using unparliamentary language with security personnel and polling staff. This shows his arrogant nature.
