Arthur Soghomonyan (born June 15, 1967) is an Armenian businessman and current chair of the board of FC Pyunik, an Armenian football club.

Early life
editSoghomonyan was born on the 15th of June 1967 in Yerevan, Armenia. His father was a military pilot by profession. When Soghomonyan turned two years old, his family moved to St. Petersburg, Russia (formerly Leningrad) from Armenia, and then to Moscow, Russia.[1]
Soghomonyan played football from an early age and, in 1984, he joined the second team of FC Lokomotiv Moscow, however he chose to leave in order to pursue an education at the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, Faculty of Applied Mathematics.[1]
Military service
editFrom 1985 to 1987, Soghomonyan served in the Armed Forces of the USSR.[1]
