Armenian Center for National and International Studies

The Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS) (Armenian: Ազգային և միջազգային հետազոտությունների հայկական կենտրոն, romanizedAzgayin yev mijazgayin hetazotut’yunneri haykakan kentron) is an independent research center based in Yerevan.[1]

Foundation

The ACNIS is the institutional initiative of Raffi Hovannisian, Armenia's former Minister of Foreign Affairs and founder of the Heritage party.[2] Founded in 1994, the institution focuses on foreign and public policy issues.[3] Richard Giragosian served as Director of the center.[4][5]
