Andrew Bloch

Andrew Bloch is a British communications executive[1] and the co-founder of the consumer public relations agency Frank PR based in the UK.[2][3][4][5] He serves as a long term publicist to Lord Sugar[6][7] and has managed public relations for The Apprentice winners and their businesses since the show's launch in 2005.[8][9] In 2022, Bloch was named as one of the Top Ten most Influential PR People in the World by BuzzSumo.[10][11]

Early life and education

In 1992, Andrew Bloch graduated from Haberdashers' Aske's School. In 1995, he earned a degree in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.[12]

Career

Bloch started his public relations career at Lynne Franks PR. He later worked at Ketchum, leading the sports and entertainment division and managing high profile campaigns for a range of International clients.[13][14] In 2000, Bloch co-founded Frank PR, a consumer public relations agency in the United Kingdom. In 2007, the agency was acquired by the Australian marketing services firm Enero ASX: EGG (formerly Photon Group).[15][16]

In 2012, Bloch, then the vice chairman of Frank PR, expanded the firm into the American market by establishing Frank PR USA in New York.[17] In 2020, Bloch became a non-executive director of the agency. In the same year, he founded Andrew Bloch & Associates consultancy.[18][19][20] In 2021, Frank completed a management buyout, making Frank PR an independent business again.[21][22][23][24][25]

In 2022, Bloch was named as one of the Top Ten most Influential PR People in the World by BuzzSumo.[26][27][28] In 2023, Andrew Bloch & Associates was named Boutique Marketing Agency of the Year by the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards.[29] Bloch also facilitates collaborations between brands and public figures such as Anthony Joshua and Lady Karren Brady.[30][31]

Bloch is a partner at AAR, where he leads the PR, social media, content, and influencer practices.[32][33] He is a partner at PCB Partners, advising on acquisitions and sales in the marketing services industry.[34] In 2024, Andrew Bloch joined the advisory board of Words + Pixels, a public relations agency.[35] In 2024, Bloch became a non-executive director of BrandNation, a PR and social agency.[36] Additionally, he is an investor and serves as the non-executive chairman of Stakked, a group of creative businesses.[37][38][39]

He serves as a PR advisor to Lord Sugar[40] and manages public relations for The Apprentice winners and their businesses since the show's launch in 2005.[41][42]

Philanthropy and mentorship

Bloch is a member of the Business Launch Group panel for The Prince’s Trust,[43][44] a founding mentor at the School of Communications Arts,[45] and a Gen Z mentor at the School of Marketing.[46][47] He is also involved with Variety, the Children’s Charity, and the Grief Encounter charity.
