Atonal bHLH transcription factor 8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ATOH8 gene.[5] It is hypothesized to play a role endochondral ossification as a regulator of chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation.[6] In addition, it also participates in the chondrogenesis of limb bud mesenchymal progenitor cells.[7]
