- The Democratic Party holds presidential nominating contests in Arkansas amongst other states.[2]

- May 8 – A statue of the late African American civil rights leader Daisy Bates is unveiled at the U.S. Capitol's National Statuary Hall Collection in Washington, D.C., representing the state of Arkansas.[3]
- May 19 – 27: Tornado outbreak sequence of May 19–27, 2024[4]
- June 21 – 2024 Fordyce shooting: Four people are killed and ten others are wounded in a shooting at the Mad Butcher supermarket in Fordyce. The suspect, Travis Eugene Posey, is shot and arrested by Arkansas State Police.[5]
