1903 United States Senate election in California

The 1903 United States Senate election in California was held on January 13, 1903, by the California State Legislature to elect a U.S. Senator (Class 3) to represent the State of California in the United States Senate. Incumbent Republican Senator George Clement Perkins was re-elected to a third term in office, defeating Democratic former San Francisco City Attorney Franklin Knight Lane and Union Labor San Francisco Mayor Eugene Schmitz.[1]
