Yerin Ha (Korean: 하예린; born 26 June 1995) is an Australian actress. She is known for her roles in the Paramount+ series Halo (2022–2024) and the Stan miniseries Bad Behaviour (2023). She was named a 2021 rising star by the Casting Guild of Australia (CGA).[1]

Early life and education
editHa was born in Sydney to Korean parents. Her grandmother is Korean actress and politician Son Sook,[2] and her parents met at drama school. At 15, in family tradition, Ha decided to pursue acting in South Korea,[3] successfully auditioned for Kaywon High School of Arts in Seoul, where she trained for three years.[4]
She went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting,[4] majoring in Musical Theatre from Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2018.[4][5]
Career
editHa played Maurice alongside Mia Wasikowska and Eliza Scanlen in the 2019 Sydney Theatre Company production of Lord of the Flies at the Roslyn Packer Theatre.[6] She made her television debut with a recurring role in the American-French series Reef Break.[7]
In 2019, it was announced Ha had been cast in the Steven Spielberg-produced television adaptation of the video game Halo,[7] and she would play a new character Kwan Ha.[8] The series premiered on Paramount+ in 2022.[9] She was billed in the main cast of the ABC TV series Troppo as Ah Rah and made her feature film debut in Sissy,[7] the latter of which premiered at the 2022 South by Southwest (SXSW).[10] She starred in the Stan series Bad Behaviour,[7] a four-part adaptation of the novel of the same name by Rebecca Starford.[11]
In August 2024, she was cast as Sophie Baek, the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton, in the fourth season of Bridgerton. The story will be based on the third book of the Bridgerton novel series, An Offer from a Gentleman.[12]
She is also set to appear in HBO's Dune prequel series, Dune: Prophecy, as Young Kasha, releasing in November 2024.[13]
