The Main Page didn't have its current look in 2004; it was redesigned since then, although the 2004 version was similar.--ragesoss (talk) 18:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've reworded this to "similar to its current format". Karanacs (talk) 18:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Cool
editThanks for this, a great and interesting read. :-) —Giggy 06:38, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- It was interesting. Slightly confusing that the "August 2001" date comes into the article later on, after the "2003" dates are mentioned. Still not clear what dates apply in the first paragraph. Carcharoth (talk) 09:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- The earliest data available on Brilliant Prose was August 2001 (this had something to do with a software design or new system or new servers or something, not sure, such that older data is lost). August 2001 was the first data available when Pcb21 generated that list. In 2003, Eloquence proposed a modifiction to the system. Not sure it's possible to get any more definitive than this, because older data was lost. At least that's what I gather from my reading, and I could be wrong. - Yeah, but what date applies to the first sentence? August 2001 or earlier? I'm after the date of the original Bmills proposal, which I'm guessing was at some point in 2001? Carcharoth (talk) 16:19, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know. As far as I know, it can't be verified anyway, as that info is lost to old servers or software switchoever or whatever. Someone else may know, but it's not something I plan to obsess over. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:21, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- See User_talk:SandyGeorgia/arch38#Dispatch; if you want to troll the internet archive, you may be able to find more info. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:25, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
