Complete these training modules before class on August 9.

In class - In class
start drafting your contributions

Class meeting is August 9 in 301. We will cover the specifics for working with your group to edit and choose an article to edit, review evaluating articles, and practice adding to an article.

Week 4

Course meetings
Friday, 16 August 2019
Continue improving your article

Now's the time to revisit your text and refine your work. You may do more research and find missing information; rewrite the lead section to represent all major points; reorganize the text to communicate the information better; or add images and other media.

To do: find a systematic review through a database, like PubMed, and cite it in your article.

Week 5

Course meetings
Friday, 23 August 2019
Assignment - Peer review an article

[[../../../training/students/peer-review|Guiding framework]]

Polish your work

Continue to expand and improve your work, and format your article to match Wikipedia's tone and standards. Remember to contact your Wikipedia Expert at any time if you need further help!

Optional lab time available: August 23 at 1 pm in 301

This is our last chance to meet in person. If you have questions, want feedback, or just think you'll be more productive working as a group in person, this is a good time to do so.

Week 6

Course meetings
Friday, 30 August 2019
Assignment - Begin moving your work to Wikipedia

It's the final week to develop your article.

Now that you've improved your draft based on others' feedback, it's time to move your work live - to the "mainspace."

Don't forget that you can ask for help from your Wikipedia Expert at any time!

Milestones

Everyone should have finished all of the work they'll do on Wikipedia, and be ready for grading.
