Students learn about the overall process of social problem construction, following the ideas of Joel Best in the textbook "Social Problems," particularly the contribution of solid social science. In the second half of the course, each student will expand an existing Wiki article that provides background information on a topic of interest to him/her. I understand that they are not to advocate a position on Wikipedia, but summarize good information on a topic.
