By reading literature in translation spanning from the Middle Ages through the present, students will gain perspectives of others around the globe, opening up our own minds to accept different ways of thinking and being. Readings, discussion and assignments will develop proficiency in thinking critically, communicating clearly, and solving complex problems. The final project will be the construction of a Wikipedia page for a newly translated novel that has shows significant impact in the literary world.
