Reason: Suspicious edits

These IP addresses have conducted soapboxing on the talk page and/or edit-warring on Right-wing politics, mostly to remove "fascism" and "nationalism" from inclusion in the article. They appear to be used by banned User:Yorkshirian. Compare the IPs' arguments in the archived discussion thread "Very Poor Entry"[1] with Yorkshirian's comments in the archives.[2] Also the IPs' edits with Yorkshirian's edits to the article.[3][4] According to the protection log, this article was semi-protected three times in 2008 for edit-warring by IP socks and ChampagneSocialist who were making the same edits. My initial impression is that these are not open proxies. The first three are (probably) the same user on a dynamic UK Tiscali IP range. 99.185.56.212 seems to be a different user entirely. 24.3.116.7 shows signs of being statically assigned to a single user. None are showing signs of being open. The edits from the US are hardly unique or surprising. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:06, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Reason: Appears to be a WebSense proxy, according to WhoIs information. - Burpelson AFB 14:07, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Not clear that the proxy is open, but it's definitely an email server that shouldn't be editing wikipedia. No luck in getting it to proxy for me. Sailsbystars (talk) 15:29, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Ugh.... looking through the contributions from the 208.87.234.128/26 range, there's an awful lot of vandalism and not much in the way of useful contributions. Not too much recently, aside from 208.87.234.180 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) and 208.87.234.190 but definitely looks like some kind of an anonymizer network, since several of the IPs in there seem to rapidly edit one after the other (e.g. see this edit and the two following [5]). A rangeblock may be in order. Sailsbystars (talk) 04:14, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
{{notaproxy}}. I would suggest that WebSense filter proxies are not open proxies by our usual definitions. Most schoolkids spend their time trying to bypass them. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:51, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
